About Printy Doodle
And honestly, that’s kind of the point.
Printy Doodle started with a 3D printer, a few ideas, and our kids.
At first, we were just making things for ourselves. Then the kids got involved. They had ideas. Lots of them. Some were actually pretty good.
So we gave them a seat at the table. (Technically, they were already at the table. They live here.)
Now they help with ideas, making products, and packing orders. We handle the grown-up stuff. Apparently somebody has to.
They’re also learning that owning a business does not, despite several attempts, get them out of homework.
As their parents, we know we only get so many years to teach them the things that really matter. To work hard. To be grateful. To care about the people around them. And when you have the chance to give something back, to do it.
We don’t expect a small family business to teach them everything. But we hope that somewhere between the ideas, the orders, the homework, and all of us figuring this out together, a little of it sticks.
That is what Printy Doodle is really about.
